We use a unique fastening system which leaves no fasteners exposed thanks to the use of a powerful epoxy resin. Max-Secure’s prison bed is also coated with a perimeter pick proof sealant which forms a complete liquid barrier around the bed. Along with providing a good night’s rest, safety was also a primary goal when manufacturing this bed, as we designed it to prevent injury to self or others. The bed’s rounded corners align with this goal as well, as they properly ensure safety while reducing the possibility of injury.

Made out of Max-Secure’s advanced proprietary Herculite polymer, our prison bed is resistant to scratching or any carving of its surface. This correctional bed further solidifies its reputation for safety by offering no space for concealment – meaning no pieces of contraband will be found within your facility’s beds. The smooth finish of our institutional beds is also effective at preventing bed bug infestations – reducing health care and extermination costs.

Our unique material was also formulated to contribute to a safe and clean environment for all residents, as the bed will not produce any toxic fumes whatsoever. The monolithic construction of this prison bed also makes it easy for staff to clean on a regular basis, as it is just one solid piece of furniture and the surface is incredibly easy to wipe down.

Applications For Our Lower Bed

Corrections facilities such as prisons, jails, and juvenile detention centers, as well as any psychiatric institutions, will benefit from the installation of Max-Secure’s Endura Series Lower Beds. The safe and stable design of our beds allows residents the ability to have a good night’s rest in what are often high stress areas.

Maintaining a healthy sleeping pattern is extremely important for everyone, as it plays a vital role in good health and overall well-being. According to Harvard Health Publishing, sleep loss can result in irritability, impatience, inability to concentrate, and moodiness – all detrimental factors which can be exacerbated when whole communities suffer from sleep loss. Sleep deprivation has also been linked to lowering overall cardiovascular health, increasing stress levels, and altering immune system functioning. Residents deserve the opportunity to get a good night’s sleep every night, and Max-Secure’s institutional beds provide exactly that.

Many correctional services located in Nordic countries such as Sweden and Norway have been proving their humanizing methods, which prioritize progress and mental health well-being over punishment, produce lower reincarceration rates and may decrease inmate violence. Slowly, North American prisons have been learning and utilizing these new humanizing methods as well.

While it may be not be possible to overhaul your correctional facility in order to provide a more humanizing environment, steps can still be taken to ensure your residents’ lives are slowly improving. The purchase of one of Max-Secure’s prison beds is a great step towards this noble goal.

Our Endura Series Lower Bed is available in 5 standard product colors: Ash, Bisque, Russet, Forest, and Steel Blue. These colors are easier on the eyes than the traditional harsh greys found in correctional facilities, helping to calm residents’ daily environments.
