Setting and maintaining a healthy sleeping pattern is extremely important for everyone, including your residents, as it plays a vital role in good health and overall well-being. According to Harvard Health Publishing, lack of sleep can result in impatience, an inability to concentrate, moodiness, and irritability – all terrible symptoms which can become wildly exacerbated when entire communities, or facilities, suffer collectively. Sleep deprivation is also a leading cause in altering immune system function, meaning a lack of sleep amongst your residents can contribute to higher healthcare costs and preventative measures for psychiatric and correctional facilities. Memory consolidation, the process through which the brain commits new information to memory, is also aided by sufficient sleep – something that can be extremely beneficial to those residents of yours who are striving to better themselves. Residents deserve the ability to attain a good night’s rest, every night, and which is exactly what Max Secure’s flame resistant mattress provides.

The Nordic countries have been prioritizing mental health, progress, and rehabilitation over punishment for years now, and this substantial policy change has helped their penal institutions lower reincarceration rates and may have contributed to a decrease in inmate violence.

Working to improve the mental and overall health of your facility’s residents is a humanizing step to take that will allow them a better chance at rehabilitation and a better life, and our team at Max Secure wants to help your facility take that next step.
