The bunk bed ladder is purpose built using Max-Secure’s proprietary composite material, Herculite. This tough, maintenance free material is ideal for correctional institutions because of its durability and fire resistant properties.
The ladder is positioned at the foot of the beds and provides an easy means of access to the upper bunk. The design is simple with rounded corners for safety reasons. Our studies have indicated that inmates have no trouble in climbing to the upper bunk using this purpose built ladder. Once the unit is assembled it is strong and stable.
The ladder is fastened to the lower and upper beds with our unique fastening system. Once attached, there are no exposed fasteners for inmates to tamper with or injure themselves upon.
